“Regarding your party invitation,” semi-live!

09.12.2015 by Chris Wilcox //

This month marks one year of writing regularly here at Meet Chris Wilcox. Let’s be honest: The thrill is gone, right? Where once you would run through the streets hollering and fist-pumping at the arrival of each new dispatch, now you barely note the subject line before filing the email away in a special folder of things to be read only if you’re bedridden without any visitors or other entertainment options.

I know. It happens.

To show that this relationship is not yet beyond the possibility of new, unexpected happenings, here’s the first-ever audio of a prose piece published on the site.* Please enjoy a reading of “Regarding your party invitation: Further information required.”

Maybe we’ll make readings a regular thing? Let me know what, if anything, else you’d like to hear… and maybe you will.

As always, thanks for being here.

* Patreon supporters at a certain level have already been enjoying (or endured being subjected to) audio versions of some lyrics. If you want to hear those recordings, or just want to help make more writing possible, you can do that here.
